The night before our trip, we stayed over at 外婆's place so that we could go to the airport together. 外婆 wanted to bring me to play at the playground located in the transit lounge of T3 and so Papa decided to go to the airport earlier so that there will be enough time for a quick breakfast and some playing before boarding the plane.
This is my 2nd time taking a plane and my 1st time onboard Singapore Airlines! The flight time from Singapore to Taipei is around 4hrs 40mins and this time roungs, Pooh Bear gets to travel with me too!! Hehe!

After my hearty brunch, I fell asleep throughout the journey and woke up only when the plane was about to land. We finally arrived at Taoyuan International Airport at about 1.30pm. Yippie! After collecting our luggages, we met up with our privately engaged tour guide who will be with us for the next 4 days.. Due to recent thypoon attacks in various parts of Taiwan, part of our planned itinerary had to be re-planned as we were told by our guide that the route to Hualien isn't accessible due to the land slides etc. Our itinerary had to be changed and Hualien has to be excluded and so we headed to Taichung from the airport. We had a quick lunch near Zhongli area as we were really famished by the time we landed.

Our first stop was 高美湿地 in Taichung. This is a wetland reserve and we were told that we can view very nice sunset from here. 外婆 had a small accident here when she slipped and fell while walking down the steep stairs.. I also fell together with her as she was holding on to me when it happened. Luckily I did not sustain to any injury but poor 外婆, she hurt her lower back and left elbow and there were a lot of blood due to the wounds on her elbow. We were lucky that there were some very helpful Taiwanese 姐姐 who helped us to wash the wounds with their water later. Mummy then asked 外婆 to take a rest at the shelter area while we quickly explore the area.

After 高美湿地, we checked in to our Minsu for the night which is located near the Fengjia Night Market. After a quick rest, we headed out to the famous Fengjia Night Market and had our 1st dinner in Taiwan there before resting for the night.
